Aditya Yadav from Begpur village in Mahendergarh district has secured the All India Rank-1 in the combined defence services (CDS) exam, the results of which were announced by the UPSC on Wednesday evening.

Aditya, whose father Satish Kumar is a retired Army officer and mother Sunita is a teacher, had previously secured the 20th All India Rank in the UPSC assistant commandant exam.

A graduate of Delhi University, Aditya credited his success to his teachers, parents, and discipline. “It was my childhood dream to join the army and serve the country,” he said.

Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini congratulated him.
