Chandigarh: Youth attacked with sharp weapon in Sector 37, vehicle damaged

According to the first information report (FIR), the complainant, a resident of Sector 35-D, Chandigarh, alleged that Haseenm Vashu, Sameer and others attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon during the altercation

A youth was brutally attacked with a sharp-edged weapon in Sector 37 on Wednesday.

A case was registered under Sections 126 (wrongful restraint), 118(2) (causing grievous hurt using dangerous weapon), 351 (criminal intimidation), 3(5) (joint criminal liability) and 324(3) (mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Sector 39 police station in Chandigarh. (HT Photo)

The attack left the victim Jaskaran Singh grievously injured. The incident occurred near Prajapati Bhawan, where the victim was allegedly assaulted, and the windows of his Mahindra Thar were shattered.

According to the first information report (FIR), the complainant, a resident of Sector 35-D, Chandigarh, alleged that Haseenm Vashu, Sameer and others attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon during the altercation. The assailants also vandalised his vehicle.

Following the attack, Singh was rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, for treatment. His condition remains stable.
