Minister Murlidhar Mohol helps accident victims reach back to Pune safely

A couple from Bhosari, Shubham Phuge, and his wife Siddhi, got injured while playing on a swing in Phuket

Pune MP and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol helped to bring back an injured couple from Phuket in Thailand after they met with an accident while on a vacation on Wednesday.

I came to know about the accident through one of our party workers. They wanted to return immediately so my department coordinated with the airlines and asked them to make stretcher arrangements on the flight, said Mohol. (HT PHOTO)

A couple from Bhosari, Shubham Phuge, and his wife Siddhi, got injured while playing on a swing in Phuket.

Mohol said, “I came to know about the accident through one of our party workers. They wanted to return immediately so my department coordinated with the airlines and asked them to make stretcher arrangements on the flight. The couple returned to Pune on Thursday morning and underwent an operation at Sancheti Hospital.”

They are still recovering at the hospital, he said.

Meanwhile, in another incident a tourist from Sinhagad Road Shobhana Lohapatre met with an accident in Andaman on Thursday. Mohol helped them to provide an air ambulance. After arriving at Pune, the green corridor was made for the patient, and he is undergoing treatment at Poona Hospital.
